LNER Winter Menu Items

First Class Travel Meets First-Class Flavours: LNER Launches New Winter Menu

LNER is celebrating the launch of its new First Class Winter menus featuring produce sourced from local suppliers along the East Coast route.

The complimentary food offering has been revamped and simplified with the introduction of two new menus. The Winter Dish and Winter Signature, featuring some chef-prepared meals, will be available until 7 April 2026.

On the Winter Signature menu, Chef Specials include a warming woodland mushroom and dark ale pie, paired with champ mash and rich vegetable gravy, before finishing with a classic treacle sponge and custard for dessert.

Earlier in the day, the popular ‘Full LNER’ and ‘Full Veggie LNER’ breakfasts will be served for customers travelling in the morning. A creamy avocado muffin, bacon sandwich, plant-based sausage sandwich, toasted teacake, or mango and passion fruit overnight oats are available on all services.

There are plenty of seasonal favourites available across both Winter Dish and Signature menus, including an irresistibly cheesy croque monsieur, made with Wiltshire ham, and a flavourful Mexican bean chipotle wrap.

Lighter lunch and evening options include a colourful beetroot kimchi salad, complete with sweetcorn hummus and Asian-style slaw, or a charcuterie grazing box with a selection of cured meats and cheeses.

An aromatic halal chicken and apricot tagine, served up with gluten-free couscous and quinoa, also features on both the Winter Dish and Signature menus on selected services from Monday to Friday.

Sara Jenson, Hospitality Manager at LNER, said: “We take great pride in the food and drink we serve on our trains. For our new First Class Winter menus, we’ve worked closely with selected local suppliers to provide choices that are fresh, seasonal, tasty, and offer variety for our customers to enjoy.”

Customers will be advised of the menu served on their selected service when booking a ticket on the LNER App or website.
