LNER has appointed its loudest colleague – Customer Experience Leader Robb Weir – as an advocate for turning down the volume ahead of National Quiet Day (Monday 14 September 2026). Rock-star Robb is encouraging customers to find time for some peace and quiet, whether that be at home, in nature, or on an LNER train. On the day itself, LNER is also giving away complimentary* hot drinks to help customers enjoy a relaxing journey. 

More than twenty LNER colleagues are gearing up to take part in this weekend’s Great North Run in support of LNER charity partner CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).
