Savour The Flavour As LNER Launches New First Class Menus

The onboard catering offer celebrates the very best of local produce, sourced from suppliers across the almost one-thousand-mile LNER route. Firm favourites, including the Full LNER and Full Veggie breakfasts, remain on the Signature menu which is served onboard selected morning trains. Later in the day, Spanish-style frittata and smoky beans, and comforting beef chilli baked potatoes feature on the Dish menu. By popular request, a classic combination of pulled ham and cheddar cheese on malted bread returns to the sandwich selection, complete with a tangy mustard mayonnaise. Vegetarian options include a Mexican sweet potato salad complete with smoky beans, charred red peppers, tortilla chips and a smooth bean dip, with the option of a golden Earl Grey lemon cream-filled choux bun. 

LNER Chef, Alan Thomas, said:

“We take great pride in preparing our specially selected dishes for our customers. Our catering teams put their heart and soul into curating our menus and sourcing our food and drinks from suppliers who are based across our route.  

“There is nothing quite like working in a kitchen while travelling at 125mph! I’m looking forward to sharing our new additions for Autumn, which include a variety of tasty choices to choose from.”
